Driver Training

At ICI we want to ensure that our drivers are well trained in all aspects of their job.  Once a contract has been offered, every new driver is required to attend training at our office.  Drivers are trained on company policies and procedures as well as the following:

  • Maintenance and Vehicle Inspection Program
  • Security Policy and Procedures (C-TPAT, PIP)
  • Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and defect reporting
  • Hours of Service (ON and US)
  • Cargo Securement
  • Collision Reporting
  • Customs Procedures

We also provide on-going training in the form of driver meetings and monthly consults with the Safety department.  We make ourselves available and encourage our drivers to call any time they require assistance.
