Cross Border Transport
Being an International Carrier, our drivers and staff are well trained and experienced with customs requirements and procedures. Drivers are trained to handle many types of clearances for both Canada and the US, and have years of experience handling the paperwork for the different types of clearances.
ICI handles all our own customs clearances in-house and we deal directly with the brokers to ensure clearances are handled in a timely manner. We transmit all electronic manifests to customs and have processes in place that automatically notify our drivers as soon as a shipment is ready to cross the border either into the US or into Canada, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
ICI is a Canadian and US bonded carrier. As active members of C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism), PIP (Partners in Protection), FAST (Free and Secure Trade), and CSA (Customs Self Assessment) programs, we are subject to fewer customs inspections which means your freight spends less time sitting at customs.
